Terms And Conditions

Carpet Cleaning Shepherds Bush Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaning Shepherds Bush provides carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By making a booking or allowing work to commence, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the individual, company or organisation requesting the services.

Company means Carpet Cleaning Shepherds Bush, the provider of the services.

Services means any carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, stain treatment, deodorising, or any other related work provided by the Company.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Technician means a person employed by or acting on behalf of the Company to carry out the Services.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet and related cleaning services within its designated service area, which includes Shepherds Bush and surrounding locations in the United Kingdom. The specific Services to be provided will be confirmed at the time of booking and may include, but are not limited to, carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain and spot treatment, deodorising and sanitising.

All Services are subject to an initial assessment by the Technician on arrival at the Premises. The Technician will confirm whether the requested work can be completed safely and effectively. Where necessary, the Technician may recommend changes to the planned Service, including the method used, the products applied or the areas treated.

3. Booking Process

Bookings can be made by contacting the Company through its usual communication channels. The Customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete details, including the address of the Premises, type and approximate size of the areas or items to be cleaned, parking arrangements and any special requirements or known issues such as heavy soiling, damage, or delicate materials.

All bookings are subject to availability. The Company will confirm the date and time window for the appointment. Any time given is an estimate and, while the Company will make reasonable efforts to arrive as scheduled, it cannot guarantee punctuality due to traffic, weather or other circumstances beyond its control.

The Company may request additional information or photographs of the areas or items to be cleaned in order to provide an accurate quote. Any quote provided before inspection is an estimate only and may be adjusted following the Technician’s assessment at the Premises. If the Customer does not agree to any revised price, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking without further obligation.

4. Access to the Premises

The Customer must ensure that the Technician has safe and sufficient access to the Premises at the agreed time. This includes providing access codes, keys, parking arrangements and clear routes to the areas or items to be cleaned. The Customer must also ensure that electricity and, where required, hot and cold water are available.

If the Technician is unable to gain access or to commence work safely due to circumstances within the Customer’s control, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may be charged in accordance with the cancellation section below.

5. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for:

Ensuring that all small furniture, breakable items and personal belongings are removed from the areas to be cleaned, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Informing the Technician of any existing stains, damage, loose fittings, wear, fading, shrinkage, colour run, or other issues that may affect the outcome of the Services.

Keeping children, pets and other occupants away from the work area and any equipment or cleaning solutions used during the visit.

Ensuring adequate ventilation after the completion of the Services to assist drying and reduce residual odour.

6. Pricing and Quotations

Prices are generally based on the type and size of the items or areas to be cleaned, their condition, the method used and the time required to complete the work. Any pricing information given over the phone or in writing prior to inspection is an estimate only.

Following inspection of the Premises, the Technician will confirm the final price before commencing work. If additional areas or items are requested on the day, or if the condition of the carpets or fabrics requires significantly more work than reasonably anticipated, the price may be adjusted accordingly and agreed with the Customer.

All prices quoted are in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

7. Payments

Payment is due in full on completion of the Services, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. The Company accepts commonly used payment methods such as cash, bank transfer or card payments, subject to any conditions advised during booking.

Where Services are provided to a business Customer, the Company may, at its discretion, agree to invoice the Customer, in which case payment shall be due within the payment term specified on the invoice. Late payment may incur interest and administrative charges as permitted by applicable UK law.

The Company reserves the right to refuse to commence or continue work if satisfactory arrangements for payment have not been made.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. The Company will specify at the time of booking the minimum notice period required. If the Customer cancels or reschedules within this minimum notice period, a cancellation fee may be charged to cover the Company’s costs and lost opportunity.

If the Technician arrives at the Premises and is unable to gain access, or if the Customer is not present without prior arrangement, the visit may be treated as a same-day cancellation and the full or a substantial portion of the quoted price may be charged at the Company’s discretion.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to staff illness, equipment failure, extreme weather, or safety concerns at the Premises. In such cases, the Company will offer the Customer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any consequential loss arising from such cancellation or rescheduling.

9. Service Limitations and Results

While the Company uses professional equipment and products and will exercise reasonable care and skill, it cannot guarantee that all stains, marks, odours, or other issues will be completely removed. Some stains may be permanent, and some materials may have pre-existing damage or wear that affects the result.

Drying times vary depending on the type of carpet or fabric, the level of soiling, ventilation, temperature and humidity. Any indication of drying times given by the Technician is an estimate only. The Customer is responsible for taking reasonable care during the drying period to avoid slips, colour transfer or re-soiling of damp carpets or upholstery.

10. Damage and Liability

The Company will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill and will take reasonable steps to avoid damage. However, the Company shall not be liable for:

Any pre-existing damage, wear, fading, or deterioration that becomes more visible after cleaning.

Shrinkage, colour run, pile distortion or other changes in appearance where the carpet or fabric is unsuitable for the cleaning process used, and this unsuitability was not reasonably apparent before cleaning.

Any loss or damage arising from failure by the Customer to follow the Technician’s advice or aftercare instructions.

Accidental damage to items that the Customer has not removed from the work area, unless such damage is caused by the Company’s negligence.

The Company’s total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the price paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under UK law.

11. Insurance

The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover for its Services. Details of insurance can be provided upon reasonable request. The existence of insurance does not extend or increase the Company’s liability beyond that set out in these Terms and Conditions or as required by law.

12. Waste, Disposal and Environmental Compliance

The Company will comply with applicable UK legislation and regulations governing the handling, storage and disposal of waste and cleaning by-products arising from its work.

The Company will remove and dispose of any waste generated by the cleaning process that it is legally required to handle, such as contaminated water and spent cleaning solutions, in accordance with relevant waste regulations. Where practical, this may involve discharge into appropriate drainage at the Premises, subject to the Customer’s consent and compliance with local requirements.

The Customer is responsible for the proper disposal of any general household or commercial waste, clutter or items not directly generated by the cleaning process. The Company does not provide a general rubbish removal service unless specifically agreed in advance as a separate service.

13. Health and Safety

The Company takes health and safety seriously and will carry out the Services in accordance with UK health and safety requirements. The Technician may decline to work or may stop work if, in their reasonable opinion, conditions at the Premises present a risk to health or safety, including but not limited to unsanitary conditions, aggressive behaviour, or unsafe access.

The Customer must inform the Company in advance of any health and safety concerns at the Premises, including hazardous materials, recent leaks or flooding, or any known sensitivities to cleaning products among occupants of the Premises.

14. Complaints and Claims

If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible and within a reasonable time frame after completion of the work. The Company will make reasonable efforts to investigate and, where appropriate, rectify any genuine issues, which may include re-cleaning the affected area.

Any claim for loss or damage must be notified to the Company promptly with a clear description of the issue. The Customer must allow the Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect the alleged damage or problem before any remedial action is taken by a third party. Failure to allow such inspection may limit or extinguish any liability the Company might otherwise have.

15. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, flooding, fire, strike, industrial dispute, lockout, acts of government or public authorities, disruptions to utilities, or other unforeseen circumstances.

16. Variations to Terms

The Company may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of the Customer’s booking will apply to that booking. Any material changes will be made available by the Company upon request.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by the Company.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, that provision shall be deemed removed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any previous agreements, understandings or arrangements, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter. No other terms, including those contained in any purchase order or other document supplied by the Customer, shall apply unless expressly agreed in writing by the Company.

By booking or accepting the Services, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
